Barbara Puffer MA, ABC
Senior Counselor and President
Barbara brings her 35 years of communications experience to bear in her senior consulting role. She handles a broad range of public relations, development, and marketing, as well as board training and facilitation for profit and non-profit organizations. One-on-one and team approaches to consulting assignments.
Barbara is also an Associate Professor for the University of Maryland University College, teaching online in the undergraduate Communications Studies & Professional Writing program and for the Graduate School of Management and Technology. She is also undergraduate Communications Course Chair.
IABC and Connecticut IABC member since 1974.

Jeffrey Warzecha
Staff Writer
Jeffrey is a full-time high school English teacher and an accomplished writer. He is studying for a master of fine arts degree in creative writing and literature at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. A 2007 graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU), he works part-time for Puffer Public Relations Strategies as a staff writer. He writes news and feature stories, researches social media and works with the media. He has worked full-time as an editorial assistant for The Rhee Gold Company in Norton, MA, publishers of the worldwide Dance Studio Life magazine and Goldrush, as well as other dance teaching publications.
In addition to his full-time work, Jeffrey's business writing has appeared in Kids' Running, The Hartford Courant, UCONN magazine, and the ECSU publications Newsflash, Eastern Magazine and Eastern Returns. During college, he worked for ECSU's University Relations Department as an assistant writer and associate editor.
A poet and teacher at heart, Jeffrey is the recipient of the prestigious Leslie Leeds Poetry Prize awarded by The Connecticut Review and the Connecticut State University system. He has had his poetry published in, among others: The Connecticut Review, The Cherry Blossom Review, The Oak Bend Review, The Rio Grande Review, The Edison Literary Review, Conclave, Poetry Midwest, SNReview, Eight Octaves Review, Houston Literary Review, Thieves Jargon and Chopper Poetry Journal.

Pam Wilson
Staff Associate
Pam is a creative soul who works full-time for the Bristol Adult Resources Center She is a retired corporate information systems professional as well. The creativity, people passion and technology expertise is a great blend for this dynamo Her projects for Puffer PR include desktop publishing, media research, presentations and reports, and other creative assignments as needed. But she wasn’t always on the information systems side of the desk. Her 25-year career with Barnes Group included work ranging from job cost analyst to editor of a division newsletter and a long period as assistant to the manager and director of communications. Pam has earned several educational certificates and awards during her career with Barnes Group. Among her most enjoyable assignments, she supported many publications and training efforts, as well as community relations, non-profit and foundation work.
She feeds her love for books by running the bookstore at Lincoln College of New England, Southington, CT part-time with her husband. Earlier in their careers, the two ran a retail bookstore for a decade and Pam worked as a customer service rep for a bookseller in Hartford. Despite moving to the information systems side of corporate America, she always kept her hand in the creative. For as long as she can remember, Pam has written poetry and media shows for special occasions.
She is a long-time member of the Nutmeg Cable Television Board of Directors and an active volunteer with Bristol Hospital’s Breast Health Initiative and its annual Light Up the Night event. She is a past volunteer for Komen CT Race for the Cure and past president of the Bristol chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP).
Married for more than 40 years, Pam most enjoys her family, which includes three married children and five active grandchildren.
Darlene Briggs
Consultant
Darlene Briggs has a fine-tuned marketing sense that's been honed with for-profit and non-profit organizations over two decades. Darlene works with Puffer Public Relations on marketing projects requiring a team approach. She has worked with Puffer PR for clients from doctors, to politicians, to associations, to steel producers, to organizations guiding people with special needs, and more. After a career at SNET as manager of media support, Darlene set out on a consulting path with her husband, Dave, under the name COMINFORTAINMENT -- reflecting their style -- a unique blend of communications, information and entertainment. She and Dave continue to plan, design, coordinate and produce communication support media and materials for a diverse range of clients from Fortune 500 companies to start-up ventures. A fine golfer, who loves an afternoon on the links, Darlene likes projects where the course is clear and the shot in sight.
