Malcom Pirnie
OPPORTUNITY:
In 2004, the prestigious Malcolm Pirnie engineering firm, was looking for an agency or consultant who would not only communicate some sensitive water and sewer issues to the residents of Southbury, CT, but also qualify as a minority vendor with the State and Federal authorities. Key was to explain the pending Water Pollution Control Plan (The Plan) and what its implementation would mean for taxpayers.
SOLUTION:
Rather than send the traditional, plain vanilla letter to residents, Puffer PR created a self-mailer newsletter explaining the larger picture. News articles about the hearing and plan were pitched to local newspapers and Puffer PR assisted with the public hearing presentation content.
